Written by

Our expert team for open science – Bojan Macan, Head of the Center for Scientific Information, and Jadranska Stojanovski, Senior Librarian at the Center for Scientific Information and Associate Professor at the Department of Information Sciences, University of Zadar – responded to OpenAIRE's questions about the practice and support for open science in Croatia.

They explained how the Ruđer Bošković Institute, as the first and leading advocate of the open access movement in Croatia, has contributed to the development of open science in the country. They discussed the mechanisms established to advance communication and openness in science, as well as when and how the IRB became the National Open Access Desk (NOAD) for OpenAIRE. They also highlighted their current involvement in the development and support of open science.

To learn more about what could contribute to the development of open science in Croatia, how to address current challenges, and their focus for the upcoming period, read the interview published on the OpenAIRE blog.
