Development of application solutions
All segments of the RBI Library activities are based on our own information system that is developed and maintained for many years.
LIBRARY SERVERSLibrary information system contains:
- 3 Production application serve
- 2 test server
- 1 file serve
- 1 "backup" server
DEVELOPMENT OF APPLICATION SOLUTIONS In developing Web-based services we use open source technologies:
- programming languages - PHP, Perl
- database - MySQL, PostgreSQL
- content management systems - Joomla,
- photos - Menalto Gallery, Coppermine
- library catalog - KOHA
- digital repository - Eprints
In addition to the development of specific library services, we participate in the development of services for RBI in a broader sense:
- application for data collection for RBI Annual Report
- cooperation with the CIR developing and maintaining applications for booking hall and equipments
- cooperation in planning of the development of a RBI new web
- support of librarians daily work (9 desktop computers)
- support of library users (5 users desktop computers in reading rooms)
- support the work of TCR rooms (support to users during the lectures and various events)
